Early morning visit Jagannath Temple. Post breakfast embark on an excursion trip to Chilika Lake at Satapada, the biggest brackish wetland of Asia is regarded as a marvel of nature. Connected to the Bay of Bengal with a narrow channel. It’s dazzling blue water, its Isles and Hillocks, the lovely birds, the fisher folks with their traditional fishing boats floating on its shinning blue surface, all these makes it very fascinating. Asia's largest brackish water lagoon with water spread ranging from 1165 sq km m the rainy season to 906 sq km in the dry season is nestled in the heart of the coastal Odisha (Orissa).Chilika is recognized as one of the most important wetlands in the world because it is home to a phenomenal variety of birds. Chilika Lake offers visitors a spectacular display of its colorful avian charms in a thousand different hues presented by over 160 species in the peak season between November and February. The lake and its reed islands teem with nesting birds-white bellied sea eagles, ospreys, golden plovers, sand pipers, flamingos, pelicans, shovellers, gulls, include migratory ones flying great distances from Iran, Central Asia and Siberia.

After breakfast embark on a city tour of Bhubaneswar. The well planned capital of Orissa, is a city of temples. It had 7000 temples at one time of which more than 500 remain today. These temples built over a period of one thousand years reflect the grandeur of high quality workmanship of Kalinga (ancient name of the State) temple art. Visit Temples like, Parasurameshwar (7th A.D.) famous for its latticed windows, Mukteshwar(10th A.D.) with its profusion of wall carvings, Lingaraj(11th A.D.) dominates the landscape rising to a high of 46 Mts. and finest representation of Kalinga Art, Bindusagar, the Ocean drop tank, Rajarani (11th A.D.) with its Exquisite carving.
Afternoon visit the twin hill Udayagiri and Khandgiri the Jain Caves. Excavated in between 2nd & 1st century B.C. By the famous king of Kalinga, named Kharvela, was the rain resort of Jain Monks. It is one of the earliest specimens of cave architecture of India. Enjoy the lovely sunset on the small hill. Return to the hotel.

Lingaraj Temple, built in 11th century, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered as the largest temple of the city. Built by king Jajati Keshari of Soma Vansh, the main tower of this temple measures 180-feet in height. It is built in red stone and is a classic example of Kalinga style of architecture.
Mukteswara Temple, built in 950 AD, has sculptured gateways, diamond shaped latticed windows, decorated interiors and large number of carvings. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is considered as the most complex Lord amongst the Hindu Gods, the temple is imprinted with figures of ascetics in different poses of meditation
It is dedicated to the Hindu lord Shiva. The temple walls also features carved image of the six-armed Hindu goddess Mahishamardini (Durga). Built somewhere between the 7th and 8th century, it is a beautiful example of Orissan work of art that is also considered one of the oldest temples in the city. Owing to its terrific architecture and wonderful historical background, the temple is not only visited by religiously inclined but also by history lovers. Each year between the months of June and July, Parashurashtami festival is celebrated in the premises of the temple, which is a major tourist attraction and crowd puller.
